Vietnam and Japan have long established diplomatic relations, with cooperation and exchanges expanding across politics, economics, science and technology, and culture. Vibrant cultural exchanges between the two countries have contributed to promoting artistic cooperation, providing opportunities to better understand each other’s cultures and societies, and strengthening ties between the younger generations. Therefore, the “Oshougatsu Traditional New Year Festival” has become a regular program to recreate the atmosphere and activities of the traditional Japanese New Year in Vietnam. This annual, non-profit program aims to develop Vietnamese-Japanese cultural exchange, while also introducing Vietnamese people to the unique customs, traditions, food, and traditional games of Japan during this New Year.
